Traffic Calming Measures proposals announced

Wicklow County Council in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by Section 38(3) of the Road Traffic Act, 1994, as amended by Section 46 of the Public Transport Regulation Act, 2009 hereby gives notice that it is proposed to provide traffic calming measures, at locations listed below in the Municipal District of Bray, which restrict or control the speed or movement of, or which prevent, restrict or control access to a public road or roads by, mechanically propelled vehicles in the interest of the safety of road users.

Location Measures
R766, Albert Avenue, Bray Provide pedestrian safety improvements with path build-outs and raised crossing
L-5807 Greenpark Road, Bray Path build out, single lane traffic shuttle at the junction with Pearse Road
L-10071 Berryfield Court – Monastery Grove, Enniskerry Junction narrowing and realignment

 

Plans and particulars will be available for inspection for a period of one month from Wednesday, January 17th 2024, at the offices of Municipal District of Bray, Civic Offices, Main Street, Bray, Co. Wicklow during the hours from 9 am to 1 pm and 2.00 pm to 4 pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) and at Bray public libraries at Eglinton Road and Boghall Road during library opening hours.

Observations or representations on the traffic calming proposals may be submitted in writing to the District Administrator, Municipal District of Bray, Civic Offices, Main Street, Bray, Co. Wicklow or by email to braymd@wicklowcoco.ie on or before noon, Wednesday, February 21st  2024 and should be marked “Traffic Calming Bray MD 2024”.
