Road Works on the M11 /N11(Southbound Carriageway) is due to commence to complete necessary surfacing works.
Notice is hereby given that in exercise of the powers vested under Section 10 of the Road Traffic Act, 2004, and in the interest of safety, it is necessary to make a Road Works Speed Limit Order, in respect of the area where the works are to be carried out.
Subject to the Road Works Speed Limit Order No. 2 of 2017, 60 kilometres per hour shall be the Road Works Speed Limit for mechanically propelled vehicles on the roads as specified in the First Schedule hereto and 80 Kilometres per hour shall be the Road Works Speed Limit for mechanically propelled vehicles on the roads as specified in the Second Schedule hereto. These special speed limits to apply from Wednesday, 20th September 2017, until Wednesday, 11th October 2017, or such earlier date as may be determined by Wicklow County Council.
First Schedule
60 kilometres per hour shall be the Road Works Speed Limit for mechanically propelled vehicles on the roads as specified hereto.
- The M11/ N11 Southbound Carriageway from a point 828 metres north of the centre point of the N11 Kilmacanogue Over Bridge to a point 1478 metres north of the centre point of the N11 Kilmacanogue Over Bridge.
- The M11/ N11 Southbound Carriageway from a point 61 metres north of the centre point of the N11 Kilmacanogue Over Bridge to a point 729 metres north of the centre point of the M11/N11 Kilpedder Under Bridge (Junction 11).
- The Southbound on ramp (M11/N11) at Kilmacanogue from a point 44 metres south of the centre point of Bohilla Lane Roundabout (R755) to its junction with the M11/N11 southbound carriageway.
- The Kilmurry Road (L5530) from its junction with the M11/N11 southbound carriageway to a point 15 metres east of is junction with the M11/N11 southbound carriageway.
- The southbound on and off ramp at Junction 9, Glenview (M11/N11) from its junction with the M11/N11 southbound carriageway to a point 26 metres east of its junction with the M11/N11 southbound carriageway.
- The southbound off ramp (M11/N11) at Junction 10, Barry’s Bridge from its junction with the M11/N11 southbound carriageway to a point 85 metres north west of its junction with the Glen Road (R762).
- The southbound on ramp (M11/N11) at Junction 10, Barry’s Bridge from its junction with the M11/N11 southbound carriageway to a point 16 metres east of its junction with the M11/N11 southbound carriageway.
Second Schedule
80 kilometres per hour shall be the Road Works Speed Limit for mechanically propelled vehicles on the roads as specified hereto.
- The M11/ N11 southbound carriageway from a point 1478 metres north of the centre point of the N11 Kilmacanogue Over Bridge to a point 1985 metres north of the centre point of the N11 Kilmacanogue Over Bridge.
- The southbound on ramp at Junction 7, Bray South from its junction with the M11/N11 southbound carriageway to a point 26 metres south west of its junction with the Killarney Road roundabout (R767).
- The M11/ N11 southbound carriageway from a point 230 metres north of the centre point of the M11/N11 Kilpedder Under Bridge (Junction 11) to a point 729 metres north of the centre point of the M11/N11 Kilpedder Under Bridge (Junction 11).

M11 Northbound resurfacing works are nearing completion.
Southbound carriageway resurfacing will commence this Sunday night 24/09/2017 for 2-3 weeks.
Diversion in place from J7 to J11 via R774, R761 & R768 from 22.00 to 06.00 and local access will be maintained to all affected residents and bus routes at all times.
