By Public Transport

Bray has a substantial public transport network, both north from Dublin and south from County Wicklow and County Wexford. Bray is on the DART Rail Network. The town is also on the mainline Iarnród Éireann rail network which connects north to Connolly Station in Dublin city centre.

Six bus companies pass through Bray: Dublin BusGo-Ahead Ireland on behalf of Transport for Ireland, Bus ÉireannFinnegan’s BrayAircoachSt. Kevin’s Bus Service to Glendalough.

Bray lies along the M11 motorway corridor; an interchange at its northern side links with the M50 Dublin bypass.

Restricted/Pay Parking system

A Restricted/Pay Parking system is in operation in Bray covering, in general, the town centre. There are one, two, and ten-hour parking zones.

There are ‘Pay & Display’ machines situated at various locations around the town. Full details of parking zones and rates are available in the On-Street Parking Control Bye-Laws 2012 in the Council Bye-Laws section here.



Wicklow County Council in partnership with GoParkit has introduced a new cashless, ticketless, pay-by-phone service currently operational in Herbert Road and Quinsborough Road Car park in Bray.

In each area where the service is offered, there will be signs posted informing users of this service. Read more about the locations here.

Register for Parking Tag and you have the option of charging your parking fee to your debit or credit card, even your mobile bill.


Even if you’re not registered with Parking Tag, you can still enjoy all the convenience of paying for your parking by phone. Just send us a text message, and you can charge your parking fee to your credit or debit card.

How to pay


If you’re a Vodafone or 3 mobile customer, you have the option of charging your parking fee to your mobile phone bill or credit. How’s that for even greater convenience.

Florence Road Car Park Update

As from Thursday 31st May 2018 the Florence Road Car Park will be closed to facilitate the development of the Florentine Centre – Bray Central. Parking facilities have been arranged in the following location:
Old Golf Club Lands (Ravenswell Road)

Herbert Road Car Park
