Embrace the Outdoors with a Week of Exciting Activities for Women

Wicklow is thrilled to announce the return of HER Outdoors Week, celebrating females of all ages and abilities embracing the outdoors. Running from August 12th to 18th, this year promises an even more exciting lineup with increased collaboration from local clubs, offering a wide range of events designed to inspire and engage. This year’s theme, #EmbraceYourSpace, encourages women to get outside and embrace the unique outdoor opportunities that Wicklow has to offer.

HER Outdoors Week is a national event that aims to celebrate and encourage more females to get out and enjoy the benefits of being in the outdoors, while bringing visibility to the opportunities for females to get involved in outdoor physical activity. This week is all about providing more opportunities for ALL females to escape to the outdoors and try something new.

Participants can look forward to Sunset Kayak events hosted by Poulaphouca Paddlers and Baltinglass Kayak Club, sailing with Bray Sailing Club, orienteering in Tomnafinnoge Wood, surfing at Magheramore Beach, and various social walks, runs, and mountain hikes across Wicklow.
