What a great day for Bray as forty thousand people turned out to watch the St. Patrick’s Day Parade this afternoon (17th March 2015). This is the biggest attendance since the festival began 11 years ago.
Mick Glynn, Chairman of the St. Patrick’s Festival Committee said “We have seen a huge increase in numbers visiting Bray over the past 4 days for the Festival and it really shows that Bray as a great tourism offer”.
“A massive THANK YOU to everyone of the 40,000 people who came to the Parade. This afternoon was a wonderful celebration with over 40 groups with 1,500 participants taking part in the parade. It was great to see all the different floats, the large multicultural elements, music, dance and entertainment celebrating the spirit of St. Patrick”.
“We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to the many volunteers, businesses, families, artists and community groups that helped to make this year’s festival and parade happen. We could not have done it without you”.
“We look forward to welcoming you all back next year,” concluded Mick Glynn.
