
‘Fun for Everyone’ is the promise of the fifth Enniskerry Victorian Field Day which will take place take place on Sunday 11th September at Knocklinn Farm, Ballyman Road Enniskerry with the highly popular Ragman’s Ball taking place on the evening of Friday 9th September.
The EVFD 2016, which is kindly sponsored by the Spirit motor group, will celebrate a variety of diverse activities and events ranging from vintage vehicle and costume displays to trial bike, sheaf pitching and tug o’ war competitions! Other top attractions include a full food village; children’s area complete with vintage games and pony rides; falconry & archery demonstrations and a special ‘Doggy Village’ featuring fun activities and dog shows for pooches of all pedigrees and non-pedigrees.
Local musicians will be invited to perform throughout the day on the main stage of the special EVFD Music Village, which will also play host to the ‘Best Victorian Costume Award’ with a top prize on offer for the best dressed couple. The schoolhouse for Art are once again hosting the Artisan village this year which will boast the largest tented area yet with over 50 art and craft stalls and an art gallery of local artists. There will also be new live art demonstrations by professional artists at this year’s event.
Now in its fifth year, the EVFD continues to attract a wide variety of vintage enthusiasts eager to be a part of a traditional Victorian Harvest celebration in addition to parents and children looking for a fun family day out with a difference. Admission is only €5 for adults and kids go free at this year’s event. As per previous years, parking is free.
Tickets for the highly popular Ragman’s Ball which takes place on the evening of Friday 9th September as part of the EVFD celebrations are now on sale with Organisers advising early bookings in order to avoid disappointment.
Proceeds from the EVFD 2016 will go towards the Lakers Club, a Sport and Recreational club for children and adults with an intellectual disability which is based in Bray.
