Bray & District Chamber of Commerce and Bray.ie invites local children to take part in a Children’s Christmas Art Competition during November/December. Each student is asked to draw something which represents “Christmas Time in Bray”. There will be 5 categories with one winner in each. Ages and abilities will be taken into consideration when judging all categories:
- (1) Pre-school
- (2) Junior Infants and Senior infants
- (3) 1st & 2nd Class
- (4) 3rd – 4th Class
- (5) 5th – 6th Class
All entries are to be submitted no later than Friday 2nd December at the Chamber Office, 10 Prince of Wales Terrace, Bray or Bray Tourist Office Civic Plaza Bray. Opening hours at the Chamber are 9am – 1pm Tues-Fri (if this time does not suit, please call the office to organise collection).
The competition will be judged by a local well-known artist. Prizes include a €50 voucher for the winning entry in each category with the overall winner receiving €250 towards their schools library/computer fund. Highly commended entries will be exhibited in the Bray Town Hall building where Santa’s Grotto will be this year.
Attached is a registration form which we would ask you to send back to register your school for this event, you can register by emailing info@braychamber.ie. We have also enclosed a list of the rules and regulations.

The Rules
- The picture should be no larger than an A4 page.
- Each student may submit only one entry.
- The student must design one side of the page using any medium.
- Artwork must be two-dimensional and represent original work by the student. Computer generated artwork will not be accepted.
- All entries must have artists name, class teacher and school details on back.
- The theme is “Christmas time in Bray”.
- A first place winner will be selected in each of four categories:
- Pre-school
- Junior Infants & Senior Infants
- 1st – 2nd Class
- 3rd – 4th Class
- 5th – 6th Class
- Judging will be based on (1) adherence to rules, (2) originality, and (3) content
- Judges decision is final.
All entries become property of Bray Chamber. Original artwork cannot be returned and reproductions of the winning posters will be distributed at various events.
