‘Bray.ie‘ and one of the towns biggest tourism initiatives – the ‘Bray Air Display‘ have been shortlisted for two awards:
- Bray.ie for the ‘Best Connected Community’ category in the 2017 Community & Council Awards presented by IPB Insurance and LAMA
- Bray Air Display for the ‘Best Festival / Event Experience (Large) for the Irish Tourism Industry Awards 2017
Speaking of the news, District Administrator David Forde said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for both awards this year. The nominations recognise the overall performance and the quality of our online engagement via bray.ie and that our biggest tourism events – the ‘Bray Air Display‘ is seen as a significant contribution to Irish tourism. The past 12 months have been our busiest to date in terms of digital output and we have successfully grown all aspects of our tourism activities. It’s truly a testament to all the people involved who work extremely hard in helping to promote our town. Their contribution has been invaluable”.
The category winners for 2017 Community & Council Awards presented by IPB Insurance & LAMA will be announced at a gala Awards ceremony on Saturday, February 4th in the Crown Plaza Hotel Dublin Airport, Northwood.
