Wicklow Sports and Recreation Partnership is gearing up for Bike Week 2023, an exciting celebration of all things cycling which takes place from May 13th to 21st throughout county Wicklow.
With a packed schedule of events happening all over the county, Bike Week promises to be a thrilling seven days of pedal-powered fun for cycling enthusiasts of all ages and abilities.

“This is our biggest Bike Week yet!” said Aisling Hubbard, Wicklow Sports and Recreation Partnership Coordinator, adding:“Cycling is a fantastic way to stay active, connect with nature, and promote sustainable living. With our line-up of events, we aim to engage people of all ages and abilities to embrace the joy of cycling.”
Michael Nicholson, Director of Service, stated: “We’re delighted to offer such a diverse range of events for Bike Week 2023 in Wicklow. We aim to encourage people of all ages and abilities to get on their bikes and experience the outdoors in Wicklow, which has so much to offer.”
Chief Executive of Wicklow County Council, Ms Emer O’Gorman, noted that “Cycling is a wonderful way to stay active, explore our beautiful county, and promote sustainable transportation. We’re looking forward to bringing the community together to experience some of our great programmes.”
Cathaoirleach of Wicklow County Council, Cllr Tommy Annesley, commented: “I would like to congratulate the Wicklow Sports & Recreation Partnership team on organising such a range of events. Programmes like Free Bike Rental Wednesday are a great initiative that helps remove barriers people may have to cycle and explore Wicklow. The range of Learn to Cycle events in the County will allow children to experience cycling in a safe and welcoming environment.”
