2018 event confirmed for Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th July

Organisers of the award-winning Bray Air Display, supported by the Irish Aviation Authority, have confirmed that this year’s event will take place on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th July 2018*. This will be the 13th year of the air display which has grown to a two-day event attracting 140,000 people to the County Wicklow seaside town last year. The event, which is renowned as one of Europe’s best air displays and a firm family favourite in the summer festival calendar, was recognised as ‘Best Festival / Event Experience (large)’ at the prestigious, national Irish Tourism Industry Awards 2017. It also won silver in the recent ‘Best Tourism Initiative’ category at the All-Ireland Community and Council Awards.
This year’s event promises to be another awe-inspiring display. Details of the line-up will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
Sé Pardy, Director, Bray Air Display, said, “We’re looking forward to another amazing event with a line-up of some of the very best aerobatic performers in the world. Bray Air Display has a reputation for thrilling spectators year in, year out and I’m confident that this year’s event will be one of the best yet. Stay tuned for more details!”
Bray Air Display takes place thanks to the support of the Irish Aviation Authority as well as Wicklow County Council and Bray.ie. It is also supported by a dedicated group of volunteers without whose time and expertise the event would not succeed.
As well as gravity-defying manoeuvres, flyovers and aerobatic performances there will be lots of family fun on the ground from 12 noon including a static display, food, craft & business village, helicopter pleasure flights, a fun fair and live music. Stroll along the magnificent Victorian prom, check out the spectacular views from Bray Head or the Cliff Walk and visit Bray’s vibrant town centre where there is an excellent choice of places to shop, stay, dine and socialise.
Bray Air Display is a free event.
