The St. Patricks Festival in Bray is organised by the Bray Chamber of Commerce and the Committee is looking for volunteers from the local Business community to help on this year’s St. Patrick’s Parade.
The successful Festival is a non profit making local event ran over the past 11 years with record numbers attending year on year. The main aims of the Festival are to create an event for the community and awareness of Bray to domestic and international tourists. The Festival is recognised as the biggest of its kind on the east coast outside Dublin.
Why would I or my business want to get involved?
- Unique team building experience – Organising a parade in a high pressure environment requires huge team effort dealing with every possible situation – Only the best will survive!!!
- Give back to the community – Up to 40 voluntary community groups participate in the event and require the back up to make it a success

What time commitments would I or the business have to make?
As a volunteer you would have to commit to:
- Attend a group event safety workshop for 1 hour in the evening this week.
- Attend a parade briefing breakfast 11-12am St. Patricks Day
- Volunteer for Parade duties 1.30pm-6.00pm including De-Brief
Where is the catch?
- There is no direct payment for Volunteering
- Limited food and drink will be provided before or after each session outlined above
- There will be no manual labour or security roles for any volunteers
