There have a number of queries concerning the collapse of a small section of the lower level wall upstream of Bray Bridge on the People’s Park side of the River Dargle.
Works have been carried out to seal the river from back flooding the People’s Park by the erection of an earthen embankment between the lower river wall and the higher wall adjoining the Lower Dargle Road, at a distance from the breach. In the event of the river level rising, the embankment will be well removed from any turbulent flows and will seal the river from the park and the rest of Little Bray.
The embankment and the breach in the wall will be monitored on an ongoing basis by Bray Municipal District Staff.
