Wicklow County Arts Office established its Funding Schemes to support artists, festivals, communities, arts participation and art form development. These initiatives are integral to Wicklow County Council’s broader efforts to encourage excellence in the arts and enhance community involvement in artistic endeavours across the county.
This year, Wicklow County Council Arts Office will be accepting applications under three schemes:
- Artist Award Scheme
- Artist & Community Collaboration Award Scheme
- Art Festival Award Scheme
The Funding Schemes aims to support the programming and development of Artists and Communities in County Wicklow. The intention is that these awards will fund, in whole or in part, a particular aspect of an Artist, Festival, and Community project, development plan or programme for 2025.
The application window opens on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025, and closes at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025. Questions can be directed to Karan Thompson at wicklowartsoffice@ktcl.ie.
Wicklow Arts Office will run advisory clinics in January to support applicants’ understanding of the process.
Cathaoirleach of Wicklow County Council, Cllr. Paul O’Brien said, ‘I am pleased that the Council is in a position to provide these awards to our artistic community in Wicklow so that they might thrive and go on to engage others in meaningful ways with their work.’
Chief Executive Emer O’Gorman stated, ‘I look forward to Wicklow County Council receiving innovative applications for creativity and creative practice in 2025 from our artistic community.’
