Bray Chamber and Bray.ie launches its summer tourism campaign for 2017
On Thursday, June 8th, 2017 the Bray and District Chamber of Commerce and Bray.ie launched its summer tourism campaign. The new strategy will promote a variety of tourism products and events on offer to those who visit Bray this summer.

From taking a dip in the waters of Bray’s Blue Flag beach to enjoying Coasteering along Bray’s absolutely amazing coastline, checking out the spectacular views from Bray Head to walking the Cliff Walk, Bray is packed full of incredible experiences that you can’t get anywhere else.
Mick Glynn from Bray Chamber said, “Through this new campaign we are looking to attract more tourists to the town and boost the local economy. Today’s announcements include a number of family friendly events from outdoor movies on the beach to a series of free Sunday afternoon concerts on Bray bandstand. The events will run from early June to mid-September and will really showcase Bray as a vibrant place to visit.”
You can watch the stars under the stars with Outdoor Movies on the beach fortnightly from June 29th. Just bring a blanket and popcorn to enjoy movies like Mamma Mia, Jaws, Grease and The Lego Movie. The screen will be located at the Bray harbour wall and start at 21:30 or when it is dark which is normally after 22:00. This is a free event. Screenings are subject to change without notice and may be dependant on weather. Please keep an eye on social media, Twitter or Facebook for updates.

Summer Sunday’s is a series of free concerts on Bray bandstand. Running over selected Sunday’s during the summer months. It will feature performances from the Bray Concert Band, The Garda Band, the Blanchardstown Brass Band and more. Starting at 2.30pm from June 11th. Click here for the full lineup.
After a great first year, Wings Food Fest returns July 15th & 16th. This weekend food festival is dedicated to the mighty chicken wing and includes a street food market, hot wings challenge, live music and more. Enjoy all the fun of the fair at the Seafront Fun Fair from July 22nd until August 7th. Thrill-seekers can enjoy dodgems, games, stalls and even some candy floss daily from 12 noon until 10 pm. The Bray Air Display returns on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd July 2017. The event, which is renowned as one of Europe’s best air displays, was recognised earlier this year as ‘Best Festival / Event Experience (large)’ at the prestigious, national Irish Tourism Industry Awards 2017.
This great family weekend all kicks off at 12 noon on both days. As well as the incredible display in the skies over #Bray there will be plenty of family fun. See www.brayairdisplay.com for more information.
There’s plenty to keep you busy between events too, from visiting the Mermaid County Wicklow Arts Centre to the National Sea Life Centre. Experience the fun and adrenalin of outdoor adventure sports with Bray Adventures or go Tenpin Bowling at Bray Bowl.

The campaign wants people to share images or videos of their own trip or holiday moments in Bray using the hashtag #SummerInBray, some of which will be shared across bray.ie’s Twitter, Instagram and Facebook networks.

‘Outdoor Movies on the beach’ Terms & conditions
- The ‘Outdoor Movies on the beach’ screenings are a free event
- All films will start at 9:30 pm or when it is dark.
- Please dress appropriately for the weather.
- You can bring a blanket, deck chair or camp chair.
- No pets are allowed
- There’s no alcohol allowed.
- Our ‘Outdoor Movies on the beach’ screenings are age appropriate. The Lego Movie recommended age range is 6 +. The onus is on the parent to decide if the movie is suitable for their child to watch.
- If attending the ‘Outdoor Movies on the beach’ screenings children must be accompanied by an adult.
- The screenings will take place on Bray Seafront at the harbour wall, please be good to the environment, respect your town, and take everything home with you.
- There is parking throughout the seafront.
- The event team reserves the right to refuse admission.
- ‘Outdoor Movies on the beach’ screenings are dependent on the weather, if bad weather is forecast, screenings may/will be cancelled.
- Technical issues, glitches or failures are unforeseen. Our event team will try and find a solution. Please be patient and have some respect for our on the ground teams. If a solution can’t be found it may result in the screening been cancelled without notice. Unfortunately, sometimes these things happen at outdoor events. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
