To welcome visitors in the local Wicklow and Dublin areas back to Powerscourt Gardens and Waterfall (on the 8th of June), and to promote their new online booking system, Powerscourt are giving away a series of free family passes to Powerscourt Gardens and Waterfall, throughout the month of June.
The Gardens are now beautifully in bloom and are a perfect place to visit to unwind and experience nature in all its summer glory. The roses in the Walled Garden, some planted over forty years ago are now in their first flush of colour, visitors can look forward to the roses in their more vibrant second flush over the next few weeks. The Herbaceous Border, the longest double-sided border in the country is now a haven for biodiversity and has something for everyone to enjoy, especially eagle-eyed kids. It is looking magical with many vibrant herbs and plants in bloom, attracting bees and other wildlife with their bright colouring. The Avoca food hall is also now open stocked with some of the best homegrown and artisan foods and products. Take-away coffee, treats and ice-cream are currently available.
Powerscourt are also giving all visitors who pre-book tickets online to the Gardens a chance to win an exclusive “Powerscourt in Bloom” Summer prize. This prize includes one-year Annual Membership and a beautiful bespoke Hanging Basket from the Garden Pavilion. The “Powerscourt in Bloom” Summer prize draw* will run for the months of June and July, with a family annual membership for Powerscourt and exclusive hanging baskets from The Garden Pavilion up for grabs. The winner of the overall “Powerscourt in Bloom” competition will be announced at the end of July. To be in with a chance to win this prize visitors are asked to pre-book their tickets in advance online to the Gardens. Through the online ticket booking page, visitors can opt in to be entered into the prize draw from the 10th of June.
There is also good news for families this summer at Powerscourt, family tickets for entry to the gardens for 2 adults and three children are just €26.00, which is a saving of €12. Entry to the Waterfall for families (includes 2 adult and 3 children) is only €16.00, which is also a saving of €7.50.
Finally, as a thank you to those who deserve time out in nature the most, Powerscourt are giving a 25% discount on all adult and family tickets to the Gardens for Health Service Executive (HSE) staff from Monday to Friday. HSE staff are asked to bring identification with them on their visit.
